OBS very slow (not streaming or recording)

Not sure what has happened but OBS seems to have become very unresponsive.

It's slow to open, it's incredibly slow to switch scene collections, open filter windows or source properties, etc.

Looking at the memory usage, at times it's hitting 19gb. dropping back to 2gb and then back up to 19gb again. This worked last time I used OBS regularly, a month or so ago, but something has gotten very broken since I opened it tonight and started removing some old profiles and scene collections. It's not always crashing, so I don't think a crash log will necessarily help?

I think I've partly figured out the cause. My exported scene collection is 200mb+, when I open it in an editor, I can see lots of pos variables, for macroActionConditionSplitterPosition. which seems to be the same issue reported here: https://www.devscope.io/code/WarmUpTill/SceneSwitcher/issues/539

I've uninstalled that plugin for now, but OBS is still taking an extremely long time to start, I'm guessing because there's a settings file somewhere with a lot of junk data associated with that plugin that is killing OBS.
