Hi, ive being using obs 22.0.2 to stream to fb live since its released (last time past wednesday) and today It wont stream. My internet is good as always. May this have something to do with fb upgrading their live producer? Im using windows 7, tested on firefox and chrome with same issue. Already tried changing stream keys, still not working.
I have to stream in about an hour and im going crazy trying to fix this. Any help appreciated
EDIT: tried to stream to youtube and worked just fine, so OBS and my internet are working. Issue seems to be related to FB live. any idea what to try?
PS. Yes, I know. My obs version is old but I broke to many things on the past upgrading things that didnt need an upgrade, so Im following "if aint broken dont fix it). Its finally time to upgrade my obs? what do you think

Facebook added secure protocol requirements to their livestream product. OBS 22 does not have the protocols needed, and is drastically out of date. You need to update.

ok, it seems to got fixed now. apparently a fb issue. It was strange, because downdetector didnt say it was a problem with fb. anyway, tomorrow I will be updating this. thanks

I use exactly this version, 22.0.2 and yesterday, I broadcasted live to Facebook without any problems. I don't want to change yet, because each new version need a new NDI plugin version, it was difficult to discover what version works with each OBS version, and mine is working perfect like a clock. Why change ? To put more load into my old CPU without any need ?

Newer versions of OBS do not increase CPU load. They patch bugs and improve performance, as well as add new features. If you run into a problem with an old version of OBS, no support is provided. While mildly inconvenient, the NDI plugin does list which version of the NewTek redist it needs to work properly.
So if it's working fine, by all means continue to use it. But if something breaks, we cannot help you if you are on an outdated version of the software. And please do not spread misinformation like that.
