Question / Help OBS v20 keeps crashing on me.

Not exactly sure whats going on. Updated to the latest obs and i keep crashing, varies from within 5 minutes to 30 minutes into the stream. Ill try to reopen obs after the crash and it will say there's and instance of obs already running!. I clear it out in task manager and when I reopen OBS I can no longer see my webcam. This is really messing me up.

The Elgato software is causing this crash. Make sure you're not trying to run it at the same time.

In many cases, installing only the driver packages for Elgato Game Capture cards works better than the full software suite with OBS. Links can be found here: https://help.elgato.com/customer/portal/articles/2405414-elgato-gaming-hardware-drivers

Uninstall the software, and install the drivers only.

I've installed only the driver pack from the link you gave me but now obs doesn't see the elgato driver when I try and add it as a source

Did you install the correct driver for your capture card?
