Question / Help OBS v0.651b quick sync File Output Only

I am hoping that someone can help me out. I have two computer, the first one has an i5-3570K and a GTX 660ti. I have enabled Quick Sync and the only thing that I changed from the default was the Max Bitrate to 30000. This all works fine. Now I try it on my newer computer which has a i7-4790K with an Asus Z97-pro motherboard and a GTX 970. I put the same settings but when I play back the video you can see that it is dropping frames. I have tried everything that I can to fix this. I have installed the latest Intel video drivers. I went into the bios and turned off the power saving for the on board graphics. I even gave the video card 512 memory. I thought the problem might be that my hard drive could not keep up but I switch the output to my SSD with the same issue.

Should I go back to the older version of OBS and see if that fixes it? At this point, I am really in a loss of what to do.

Thanks

I'm hoping that someone else with similar hardware could try quick sync and see if they get the same issue as me.

There is a message when you post to remind you to post your logfile. Please post your logfile of your newer system that you are having issues with. This can be found under the help menu. Copy the link and paste the link here. Also, be sure to update your intel GPU drivers to the newest release.

Here is my log file, sorry for not uploading it sooner.
change target usage to balanced or speed. the encoder probably cant handle 1080@60 without it. you shouldn't see quality difference since higher bitrate will make up for the quality loss

Thanks for the advice, that did it. Strange that my igpu could not handle it. Maybe there will be a drive update that fixes it at some point. Changing it to "balanced" helped a lot. I don't get no lag and the video looks good, so no complaints.

for local recording high quality is a wast to do. its basically very similar to dropping the CPU preset on local recording; its a waist unless you HAVE to have smaller file size (bitrate) like you do with streaming.

There's not really a driver update you can do. its a limitation with some hardware encoders. you could overclock your igpu but I really haven't found any good proof that would help.
