Hello,
I am having an issue with audio latency when using the virtual camera to Skype. Here is the scenario:
A friend of mine and I host a show on Mixcloud. I have a mic connecting to a 4 channel mixer, then to a Focusrite 2i4, then to a hardwired workstation running Win 10 (patched/up to date). Everything looks fine in OBS, meaning that when I speak, my lips match my mouth moving. :)
I use the virtual camera and pull it into Skype and call my remote cohost. He then sends us out to Mixcloud. Problem is that when it comes into Skype, there is about a 2-3 second delay in the video vs audio, making it look like a poorly dubbed movie.
I don’t have the numbers on hand, but the speed tests on the wired connection look fine. I have played with the sync latency settings on the audio source in OBS, but that has not really made an impact, meaning, I may think it looks a little better, but really, it’s not.
I’m a bit of a newbie on OBS, but any ideas would be appreciated. Also, CPU usage in OBS shows about 6%. When Skype is running, task manager is showing higher amounts, around 30-35%. As I have read, this is common with Skype.
Thank you
