Question / Help OBS thinks two sources is one

Long story short, I have two windows that have the same name, so obviously OBS would see them as the same name.

Because of this, no matter which stdin I click on, OBS will only show the first window.

Here, you can see that only one is showing up, even though I have both "stdin's" selected.

I've also tried a program that renames a window (stdin), but it doesn't work with the program i'm using.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks!

Is using the video source plugin and adding the streams directly an option, as opposed to window capturing two instances of MPC-HC?

I'm not sure if that's physically possible, it just appears black when I try to add a livestream to the video playlist.

Also, I need to be able to sync the two livestreams, since it would be me and another person in the same game. This means I would either need a delay or be able to pause and play the livestream to add a manual delay.

Side note, I just tried using two seperate vlc players, and it does work like that. However, I would like to keep looking to see if theres an easier way to do this.

Again, thanks

Maybe try using game capture on MPC-HC instead? Are you able to give the two MPC-HC windows names other than stdin? It sounds like you're crafting a personal nightmare of sync issues. :P

The same problem happens with game capture, and unfortunately, I can't rename the windows, I'm assuming because its constantly being updated, as the videos on mpc-hc are actually livestreams - I probably should've mentioned that.

However, that gave me an idea. If I pause the livestream, It gives me time to rename it, so I can add it to obs and then fast forward to it being live. However, you're still right, this truly is a headache to sync the streams, especially when one of them freezes or buffers :P.

I don't mean to change subjects, but although my problem is technically solved, I'm just trying to see if I can put my livestream and my friend's livestream onto this livestream. Is there any easier way to do this still? (try saying that 10 times fast)
