Hello,
Id really appreciate it if someone can give some advice here.
It was working all ok and suddenly its all freezes without even streaming, cant change any scene, cameras all freeze.

A few things I notice in the logs myself, if anyone knows how to fix id appreciate it....
Windows Version: 10.0 Build 22621 (release: 2009; revision: 674; 64-bit)
Im actually using windows 11
Failed to load 'en-GB' text for module: 'advanced-scene-switcher.dll'
It looks as if its failing to load the UK English from somewhere.

Any advice greatly appreciated, im a bit new to this.
Thanks in advance

For a test, I'd recommend installing OBS in Portable mode, copy-over/re-create your base settings, then install plugins 1 by 1 leaving streamelements out
StreamElements plugin pukes all over the OBS log, and its presence is often in play (high correlation) with problem systems.

Though check the log yourself... the end of that 2nd log shows a bunch of audio device errors (preceded by streamelements errors). I've found cleaning up audio devices at the OS layer first, then making sure permissions properly set, and disabling Global Audio devices you aren't going to use. For my use case, I actually disabled ALL OBS Global Audio devices, then added appropriate Audio sources only in selected scenes (at this point, a single, referenced (vs duplicated) Audio Source for my mixer

Thanks very much for the advice, I can live without the stream elements plug in so will uninstall that.
It already is installed in portable mode I think.

It's a bit of a mindfield trying to understand these logs but I can see some "fatal" errors

fatal: No JPEG data found in image

I assume these are easy to fix?

May I please ask what you mean by "cleaning up the audio devices at os later first"?

Do you know what these at the very end are referring to please?

WASAPI: Device '{0.0.1.00000000}.{b3573546-e9cc-438f-b520-466612a25b34}' failed to start

Thank you

Ahh ok

WASAPI (Windows Audio Session API) is Microsoft’s multi-channel audio interface for communication with audio devices.
This is what you meant by audio errors I guess.

i recommend uninstalling streamelements and OBS. you are running an outdated version of OBS. download and install the latest version.

Yes, I'm aware there's a newer OBS version out but I was playing about with the streamfx plugin which is not compatible with the latest version so I was holding off until the alpha release of streamfx is a bit more stable.

I think I need to get this working correctly before upgrading.

I will uninstall stream elements se.live plugin

For the nuclear option (reinstalling) is there an easy way to copy/save all the scenes and sources and also find a list of installed plugins at all?
Thanks

from within obs there is the option to export the scene collection as well as profile data. you can also backup the %appdata%\obs-studio\basic folder. as far as a list of what plugins you have installed, i am not sure.

as far as streamfx goes. i use it on v28.1.1 without any problems. but i may not be using features that you use.

you're welcome. i hope you get it all worked out. best of luck to you.
Ok so here's what I did and it seems much more stable, hopefully this might help someone else.
1) removed stream elements
2) removed streamfx which I was only playing with anyway
3) changed all cameras to "default" settings as defined by the cameras rather than me selecting 1080/60fps
4) upgraded to version 28
5) installed Adobe quicktime as I read OBS uses their drivers, if not falls bag on something else (not as good basically, sorry I forget which now).

The log analysis gives zero critical errors, no warnings and only info about windows 11 expiring at the end of October next year.
Upgraded 3 plugins, and

Ran OBS for a few hours now with no freezing or problems, fingers crossed for a stream later.

Thank you again for all those kind enough to make suggestions, it's appreciated.
