hey so i upgraded my gpu recently from a 1070 to a 3080 ti and i went to go record some gameplay and notice that obs was freeze framing now and again and thought that was odd, so i checked the recording and yep it was freeze framing so i checked my settings, everything was the same as before so i looked online did all the suggestions i could find from disabling preview, turning off psycho visual tuning to even lowing my settings. (yes i run obs as admin) i cant understand why with better hardware my recordings are worst? everything is up to date

ill give you logs for older gpu and current one

oh the game source/monitor stuff i usuall have all disabled but one thing at a time, ive gone into settings gaming turned off everything in xbox game bar and capture (game mode was already on) hasnt changed anything. i can test making a new scene and trying only one capture but i dont think that well change anything and bitdefender i had no problems with it before on my 1070

so ive gone to test other software to see if its just a obs problem and so far, streamlabs and Nvidia shadowplay (both i dont like using for recording) have no stutter in preview and recording

You have mismatched sample rates, put OBS and VB-Audio Cable B to 48000hz. Audio bitrate is not the same for all tracks, 64 and 128, you can go higher like 192 or more.
Since u already disabled Game DVR and maybe Psycho Visual Tuning, u can also try to put OBS Process Priority as Above Normal or High in Settings>Advanced>General.
Other things to try: play games in borderless window, cap fps at 144hz, lower in game settings, make sure to have windows updated and don't use test builds, never record on the same drive where is your game and os, make sure that your gpu is at maximum performance in nvidia control panel and same for power options high performance, uninstall any OBS plugins.
If u still have issues, then maybe is your storage drive that is failing.

reason for different audio rates was because the other tracks dont matter as much as the others but still needed for editing and its to save up on diskspace as 35ish mins takes like 4GB of space and we record for hours at a time. changing the psycho thing has made no difference i said that on the first post the priority is on high and again about the storage drive thing i tested recording on other softwares to the same drive
