OBS stuttering in 4K

Usually, Freesync/Gsync is available only if the monitor is connected via DisplayPort cable. If it is greyed out for you, you probably connect with hdmi. But that's fine, since my post above is only valid if Freesync is activated. If it's not activated for you, and you also have vsync enabled, frames are generated in the same fixed schema as played back in a video, so this is no additional source for stutter that is visible in a video but not ingame. This doesn't help with to a solution, but it also isn't a source for more confusion. Just forget Freesync, if you have not activated it anyway. It helps reducing perceived ingame stutter, but doesn't help or even increases stutter in recorded videos.

Do you have any stuttering when you're encoding at lower resolutions or just 4k?
ok now i tested it with different settings and resolutions.
→ video still not fluently on 1080p with minimum settings.
when i turned back to 4K and max settings, i turned off the fps limit and set the vertical synchronisation to fast and was around 90 fps all the time.
so where the hell does the stuttering in the records come from.
i'm pretty sure, it's a system or nvidia setting, that interferes hard. i just can't find it

Please tell me you find a fix for this?

Go to: Settings then output and under streaming, change your bit rate to...6.5mb for 720p-10mb for 1080p-20mb for 1440p and 44mb+ for 2160p. It does increase your file size but that's because of better streaming quality. You'll get less of the choppiness when recording. Ill try live streaming and get back to you.

Live stream quality varies depending on your download speed. Higher mb's equals better quality but might start to experience lag. I'd adjust to your liking. I'm running 10,000kbps as that gives a decent quality and smooth enough frames.
