Hey guys! New user of OBS here. I've been looking for a solution for the delay when im streaming in Facebook, hoping for someone who can help. Just so you know, im just using the built-in Cam of my laptop.

I don't use FaceBook, but it is normal for RTMP services (YouTube, Twitch, FaceBook) to have delay, sometimes up to 30 seconds depending on various factors (viewers' connection speed, quality settings, transcoding, etc).

If you want low delay you can try using the FTL protocol to Mixer.com, I routinely get a delay of about 1 second or so there.

I know its natural to OBS to have a delay for sniping purposes. but mine is like 20s or so. And my life on Facebook is a bit laggy, do you have any solution for that sir?

You can ADD a delay to OBS to discourage stream sniping, but there is delay inherent to the use of RTMP on particular platforms that is not related to that. If you haven't specified additional delay in OBS, then the amount of delay you have is the minimum you can have, and is a result of your connection speed and your chosen provider, and not to discourage stream sniping.

To diagnose stutter I'd have to see a logfile from a completed output session that included the stutter.

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

Need a logfile with a completed output session in it to diagnose a performance issue. Need to open OBS, start a session, observe the issue, end the session, then upload the log.
