Bug Report OBS Studio mp4 format incompatible with Adobe Premiere Pro?

So when I try to edit OBS studio output files in Adobe Premiere Pro, it becomes an impossible task as it makes Adobe Premiere pro stutter and lag endlessly. This never happened in OBS classic. I've seen several posts of people having similar problems (https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-studio-not-compatible-with-adobe-premiere-pro.43942/) , but with no real resolution.

I'm trying to figure out exactly what the differences are between a OBS classic file and a OBS studio file, and I think I have a clue, but I have no idea how to fix it if I am truly on to something. I compared the two in VLC's codec information tool, and when looking at the OBS studio file it has the Video and Audio stream numbers flipped. I submitted an image to show this

could this possibly cause a problem in a video editing software? if so, is there any way I can mux OBS studio to fix this?

I will of course add in my post my obs studio log. Thanks!

Saving directly to mp4 hasn't been recommended in ages.
Save to FLV or MKV and use the remux recording function in the file menu.

Sorry if it wasn't clear - I remux my footage after getting it in FLV format. Remuxing changes nothing. It still gives me super choppy problems in Premiere Pro.

The order of the video/audio streams shouldn't matter.

Are you sure that you've recorded with the exact same settings in Classic and Studio?

If you recorded with CRF 14 that's gonna create very high bitrate files.

In Premiere, if you select a lower playback resolution other than Full (right side below the preview), is it smoother?

Is there any other way to compare two video clips that will give different info besides what VLC did with their 'media information' option?

Lowering the playback res to the lowest it will go does absolutely nothing. CRF14 is a relatively new change, and most of the clips (all the ones I'm having trouble with) are recorded a much lower bitrate, 3500bps.

Thanks for your reply, I'm still having lots of trouble with this. right now the only fix I can find is to re-render the clips, But it literally WILL NOT RENDER. http://imgur.com/Iw2cicn.png

I have literally 600 clips like this, I don't know what to do to deal with them!

This is intriguing. Would you be able to share a short clip with something like Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive/Mega?

One from Classic and one from Studio. I'd be happy to take a look.

Other than that, as already suggested, try recording in a different format and remux to mp4 after. There really shouldn't be anything weird with the output. As you can imagine a lot of people already use the OBS Studio to Adobe Premiere workflow.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks a lot for the help brother. I ended up just sucking it up and making sure Premeire pro 2014 was updated and it ended up being smooth as butter. In posterity, that was probably the first thing I should've done, but I'm always scared if I touch my old adobe stuff they're gonna yank it away from me and stick me with their new monthly baloney. :(

So for posterity: If anyone is using OBS STUDIO and editing the files in PREMIERE PRO 2014, FIRST install QUICKTIME, then MAKE SURE YOUR PREMIERE PRO IS UPDATED TO THE LAST OFFICIAL VERSION

Im using CS5 and had to down grade OBS to be able to edit recorded video again. The recorded video from new version of OBS will not import into CS5 like it used to,you'll have to trans code everything if you want to stick with updated OBS. I've done enough "ABOBE pay me again updates".
