It has been about 3 years since I have used OBS, but I am gonna need to use it next month, so I got back into OBS since I am a little rusty and wanted to see if anything got moved. When I got into studio mode, I noticed that when I change something on the preview, it changes on the program side at the same time without me pressing transition. Is this a new behavior that has been added in the last few years? I want to be able to have the old behavior back, where when I set up something in preview, it won't change in program unless I tell it too becuase I will be using a text overlay next month. I know that you can use it with scenes, but you can not have the camera running at the same time with 2 scenes, so that won't work for me. Is there a setting I can turn on that will allow me to get the old behavior back? Thanks for your help.

Activate the three dots next to "Transition" and select the options "Duplicate Scene" and "Duplicate Source."
