obs studio is laging my game what do i do

when ever i load up a game wtih obs the game lags but when ever i don't have obs open the game never lags plz help

real-time video encoding (which is what OBS does, possibly twice if you use Studio Mode) is VERY computationally demanding.
I recommend monitoring hardware resource (CPU, GPU, RAM, etc) utilization [for ex. using Task manager’s Performance tab and/or Resource Monitor] to see if your system is being maxed out with your settings
