Question / Help OBS Studio, game running at 60fps perfectly but recording is laggy as hell.

I have a problem. I am recording Alien Isolation or ANY GAME for that matter and the game is running beautifully at 60fps while i'm recording and at 120fps when not recording but when the recording is finished. The video lags like hell. All i hear is audio while the screen completely freezes for a minute every second. Can someone please help?
