hi,

I can understqand OBS is running constantly, but why is it slow beyond belief

each button click takes ages to proceed, I closed al softwares, still the same

I know my rig is not super powerfull, but even if no media is loaded, each click takes ages

If i add 2 sources, then they play just fine, it's only the menus that are just UNBEARABLE

please help out

thanks

For reference, I'm on a 3230m i5 2.6 base clock Toshiba Satellite and OBS runs fast and smooth. What are your specs, and do you have other programs running?

not a spec related issue, others heavy duty programs run fine
it's more like everytime there is a gui action, OBS starts doing something that takes ages
I could add 100 streams all together it would stream it fine
it's only a gui problem

fyi : AMD dual 2.5

NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS

Your computer might need upgrades to do 1280x720 at 30 fps (frames per second) or higher...
If your graphics card a fast PCI Express 16 lanes? A slow AGP or very slow conventional PCI slows down OBS and most game/video recorders.

That's an incredibly generous assessment. :P The system is completely unsuitable for running OBS, both the CPU and GPU are terrible.

I believe you can set the Base (Canvas) resolution to lower settings (like let's say, 720x480 - without spaces between the 'x' and the numbers). By default its resolution is very high. Just go to settings -> Video.

You can also change the FPS if you want.
