Bug Report Obs studio crash on startup [solved?]

CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: Radeon R7 260X
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB 14393 Version 1607 x64
OBS-studio ver: 0.16.4

OBS fresh installed
No profiles, scenes, plugins

Tried obs-studio ver 0.16.5 and nothing changed

Hi! Please also include regular logs when uploading a crash log. The regular log has different, but equally useful information in it.

This seems to be an AMD driver crash. There's an upcoming OBS Studio hotfix that should have a workaround for this, but also keep an eye out for new AMD drivers.

Yeah, that's an AMD driver crash in their AMF runtime. The next releases of OBS Studio and the AMD AMF encoder plugin will include a workaround for that until AMD can release a fixed driver.

Upd: with Microsoft drivers everything goes OK.
Hope it will be helpful to somebody have issue like my

Updating to AMD AMF encoder plugin 1.4.2.3 should solve this issue.

0.16.6 now ships with a fixed build of the AMF encoder.
