Question / Help OBS Studio Causing Computer to lag/stutter when open (Not Recording/Streaming)

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone may have some insight or may have possibly ran into a similar issue before to where OBS Studio would start causing their computer start lagging?

Now there are a couple different instances on where this happens. Occasionally, the moment I open up OBS studio (and I will have nothing but Google Chrome open at the time) every application starts lagging tremendously. I can physically see it lagging as when I hover over something, it's delayed. Same thing as if I were to type something. To fix this, I simply just have to restart OBS and then all of a sudden it's working perfectly fine.

The next issue (and this seems to be more sporadic) is that I will be playing some games in full screen, and everything on my additional monitors will begin to lag.. Now mind you, I'm not even recording or streaming anything yet.

For example, I'm using the emulator Dolphin, and the moment I switch to fullscreen, my google chrome on my second monitor starts lagging and gets delayed, and same thing with OBS on my third monitor. I'm having trouble trying to fix this one as I can't seem to pinpoint where it's coming from. My CPU on average is around ~19% and my memory is usually ~30%.

Maybe someone possibly take a look at the log and see if something looks off?

My specs:

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080
Intel i7-7700k @ 4.2 GHz
16 GB Ram (2x8)
1 TB SSD

I appreciate any help/advice! :) I'm pretty new to recording/streaming and stuff and I'm trying to learn as I go. I'm usually pretty self sufficient and try to figure stuff out on my own, but this one kind of has me confused. Would appreciate a little guidance if possible.
