OBS Studio Audio Monitoring issues

Hey,

I'am using OBS Studio for an event (in real life) to mix different video signals and to display the result using a fullscreen projector on an LED screen connected via HDMI. I mainly use live cams, video sources and graphics as overlay. The video sources also have an audio signal. On the one hand, the first 1-2 seconds of sound from all video clips "jerks", i.e. at first nothing usually comes, then it cracks briefly and then it runs normally (picture runs completely normally). Then I noticed that the level of the video source in the audio mixer is a good second ahead of the "audible sound". What I find strangest, however, is that when I have the recording running and then look at the whole thing again in the recording, the sound dropouts cannot be heard.


There is also a log file here, but without a recording or stream, since that is not running during the event.

The only line I noticed is this:

I read in another post that OBS overloads the system here. In my case, however, I can actually rule out that everything is normal in Task Manager and there is still enough power available in all areas.

System Stats:

• Windows 10 V20H2
• Intel Core i5-6600K (3.5 GHz)
• 20 GB DDR4 RAM
• Disk: WD M2 SSD
• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

What i tried/changed:

• Audio Sample Rates are all 48 kHz
• other sound device
• other sound card

Wird es besser, wenn Du in den Sources die Hardwaredekodierung deaktivierst?
Werden die vordefinierten Videos von SSD abgespielt oder was langsamerem?

Ich habe gerade festgestellt, dass es bei der Standard OBS Medienquelle gar nicht so schlimm ist. Bei der VLC Source ist es recht extrem, da gibts ja die Hardwaredecodierung nicht (als Option).

Liegt aktuell alles auf einer HDD (WD Blue wenn mich nicht alles täuscht)

Ansonsten: VLC aktuell halten (da gabs wohl kürzlich Änderungen/Updates, da gabs mal Hinweise hier im Forum, find ich aber grad nicht), und dann auch durchaus OBS nochmal drüberinstallieren, so dass die korrekten VLC-Libraries mit der korrekten VLC-Version sprechen.

Ansonsten als native MP4-Sourcen einbinden...

Nö nöö. Die 21ms sind wirklich kein Grund zur Sorge.

Ansonsten: VLC aktuell halten (da gabs wohl kürzlich Änderungen/Updates, da gabs mal Hinweise hier im Forum, find ich aber grad nicht), und dann auch durchaus OBS nochmal drüberinstallieren, so dass die korrekten VLC-Libraries mit der korrekten VLC-Version sprechen.

Ne eine externe ist es nicht. VLC hab ich aktualisiert, OBS auch nochmal installiert. Hat leider bei der VLC Quelle keine Besserung gebracht. Hab auch das Video mal auf die Windows SSD geschoben -> auch kein Unterschied.

Die Medienquelle von OBS funzt ja, aber ich finde halt die Wiedergabelistenfunktion von der VLC Quelle sehr praktisch. Gibt es vielleicht ein Plugin welches diese Funktion für die OBS Videoquelle aktiviert?

Mir gehts genauso. Du kannst die Frage natürlich nochmal auf englisch stellen, falls noch jemand anderem im Forum was dazu einfällt. Sorry, dass ich den Thread auf deutsch gekapert hab.
