Question / Help OBS studio 64 kills 20 fps off my game not even recording or streaming- just by launching the app

So i play and stream this game , Armored Warfare (cryengine) and i just noticed that without OBS launched i get 60+ fps...and whenever i launch it..it just eats many fps...I use nvenc encoder , obs uses 5-7 percent cpu...why the hell it kills my fps like that?
When not recording/streaming even...And if i start record/stream i don't see a difference (nvenc does not use CPU).
Same with x264, but there fps drops even more when i start record/stream (it should be like that) .
Just launching obs studio makes game move bad, please fix this........it's so smooth without obs open..and it has no logic.. tried preview off, no difference..tried different process priorities..nothing.

I noticed this problem when i played without streaming, winch I rarely do actually...

Just did more experiments and found out some overlays esp kappagen (browser capture) kills some of the fps, disabling them helps. But it still initially eats the fps when u just launch the app.

Log of a short recodring.^
Remember problem is when i launch the obs, not when i stream...

You really need to break those scenes out into some separate scene collections. Are you using any kind of frame limiter or vsync? Saying "60+" makes me think you aren't, or have a 144Hz monitor that your 970 isn't suited to drive, which will overload your GPU and cause performance issues in OBS.

I usually use frame limiter, but for test purposes i went unlimited. How would new scene collection help? why? i hope it does not load all scenes everytime i load obs......
Made on scene only with game capture, and i has better fps. Ill try with a new scene collection..just for the game or whatever

Having every scene and source stuffed into a single collection means it's loading up the entire collection every time, not just the individual scene you've selected.

i didn't knew that..well is time to reorganize then...
Someone told me to try desktop capture instead of game capture..will try that also.
Thank you and keep improving the app..it's awesome!
