Lesson learned.

Q: Do i have to un-install/remove 32.2.1 before installing an older version? Or can a older version be installed on top of the 32.2.1?

Too bad there wasn't a upgrade compatibility program that would pre-run before the install a new version, it checks the old version plus all the installed plugins (version#) that you have for compatibility to the new, lists the results, and then prompts you to continue or skip the upgrade.

At least I am thankful that OBS when it loaded indicated which plugins encountered problems that clued me to get new updates for those plugins that had also updated

Normally with installing the old version on top of the new one works just fine.
The plugin manager is in development. The idea is to check for upgrades once it's finished but plugins should be maintained correctly for this to work as intended.
Anyway, it's a good practice to always double check for updates and compatibility of the plugins you're using before updating.

32.2 has reached full release status, so please report any issues through the normal support channels.
