Bug Report OBS Studio 24.0.3 Crash if there is too my files in VLC Video Source

OBS Studio 24.0.3 Crashes if there is VLC Video source with over 5000 files.

tried to remove some files and OBS started to work normally again.
Then i copied those back and OBS crashed again. (at next startup)

My example i have 5200 files 133GB total size in USB storage

I have also tried:
Update VLC to latest version
Update latest vc_redist.x64.exe and vc_redist.x86.exe

Also, what is the use case that requires 5000+ media files to be accessed within the same scene collection?

I have added the 2 crash logs. The log you asked i cannot give because OBS crashes on startup so i cannot access those menus.

Found this log @ C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\obs-studio\logs

I'm confused then when you say you were able to "OBS studio started to work normally again".

Are you able to start OBS studio in any capacity with removing some files? How are you removing those files? What do you even mean by this? What do you actually mean by "VLC Video source with over 5000 files"?

Yes i can open OBS if i move some of the files so that there is less than 5000.

I mean there is a one Scene that has vlc media source -> add folder -> shuffle

I solved the issue using sysinternals process monitor.
There was one file with weird name that caused the crash.

Just deleting or renaming that file solves the issue.

Thanks for the detailed info, I'm able to reproduce this and will add a fix to the next version of OBS.
