Question / Help OBS Stuck on Stopping Recording, and gives out awful results

I've seen this on MULTIPLE threads, with no answers from anyone! What the hell, ACTUALLY FIX THIS BUG, OR HELP US TRY AND FIX IT OURSELVES.

I don't understand how there's only a few certain people with this bug, and they never get it fixed. I have installed OBS twice now, and still get the same problem. Here's a link to the log file.

When I click "Start recording" then go to my game, record all the footage, it's all good. But when I go to stop the recording, the button gets stuck on "Stopping Recording" and will do so for a very long amount of time. I am usually forced to stop it. Sometimes it'll fix itself after about 5 minutes, however, the result is a very awful chopped video, with only about 2 seconds of footage. You could record three minutes, or an hour, and still only get seconds worth of footage out of the whole thing. The rest will be a frozen frame of your game. The audio still plays throughout the video, just no actual footage, except for a few frames of it. I have tried all kinds of solutions, changing the video encoder, the video format, everything. Nothing seems to work.

So if ANYONE could please help me, that'd be great. I want to use a good recorder for once, and everyone recommends this to me, however I can't use it when it's like this.

  5. 16:40:49.578: buffer size: 2500
Problem 2: using streaming settings for recording

  1. 17:03:15.434: Output 'simple_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 5155 (48.4%)

  3. 17:03:15.546: Video stopped, number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 2677/2727 (98.2%)

There is no bug in OBS, the problem is entirely your computer.

Ryan how come it's our computer ? Because I'm having the same problem and am not sure what's up. I did get a new GPU and was thinking that's it ? Could this be ?
