OBS / STREAMLABS LAG

Hey so I recently started to stream and I frequently recorded game footage

My internet download speed is 52.79 Mbps and my upload is 18.25 Mbps and my ping is an average of 30ms

While I play the game seems fine and my fps is chilling with no lag, just when I look back at the video file, it's laggy and stutters a lot.

My computer specs are as follows:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x 8-Core Processor 3.60 GHZ

GPU: GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

RAM: 32.0 GB

PSU: ToughPower GX1 600W

SSD: Seagate Backup Plus Drive (E:) 1.81 TB

Hopefully you realize Sreamlabs took (forked) OBS (by authors here) is and their own implementation. If you are looking for StreamLabs support, you should go to their site

For OBS studio, follow the pinned post

in general, real-time video encoding is hard work. So if gaming is taxing your system, and you add OBS (or any similar product), you may push system over the edge. In which case you have to learn to manage your hardware resources (meaning at OS level, background tasks/processes, etc), OBS settings/effects/filters, and realistic settings in your games
