Obs stream only to HDMI 2nd monitor.

Hi everyone, I know this question has been asked for years, but in that search I haven't found a good solution besides I s isn't designed for it.

Right clicking on scenes and such, selecting Projecter (source) isn't smooth enough professionally for something local where a strong internet connection just isn't viable.

There's gotta be a way to use studio mode to manually transitions scenes seamlessly to a HDMI 2nd monitor out.

In my situation streaming locally through J-tech HDMI 1080p extended through cat 5 is what I'm looking at. Can you trick obs to stream locally through HDMI?

At this point if not, what other software would work for this matter?

Right-click the Preview or Program window, instead of a Scene.

Be aware though, that this is silent so far. The only audio output at all, besides the stream and recording encoder, is the Monitor. So any physical or virtual audio output must use that, and there's only one of them.

If you don't need headphones, then you can set everything to use the Monitor, and then send the Monitor to the same HDMI port that you send the projector to.

If you do need headphones, or any other audio out besides the "physical stream", you'll need to do something else. This plugin might help:
or you might move all of your audio work into a DAW, outside of OBS. The DAW, then, takes everything directly and feeds everything directly, while OBS is entirely silent. If OBS plays a video or something like that, send that audio to OBS's Monitor, and have the DAW pick it up from there.
