So I have been wanting to stream for a while now, but when I stream my friend said he couldn't watch anything. Irealised it was my upload speed being 1.0 MBPS. What mbps up speed do I need streaming from New Zealand? Im not an OBS pro so please explain as simple as possible. Thanks

With 1mpbs, you can of course stream, at a low resolution/framerate and probably quality. But you still have to keep free upload so everything works and you have to check if your internet connection is stable enough to do it.
I would recommend a maximum bitrate of around 600-700, with the audio bitrate definitely below 100, 480p resolution and maybe 20 fps. You will have to test and tweak a lot and if you have further questions make sure to post us a log file of your tests in OBS.

i started out streaming with 1mbps. it isnt bad at all. A solid 750 bitrate should be fine and watchable.
