Been browsing through the forums but already tried them all to no avail. Been using OBS in months then suddenly I experienced this; bitrate suddenly turns to 0 KBPS and doesn't reconnect. I am streaming through facebook and if I click *stop streaming*, I am just stuck to a grayed *stopping stream*. The only way to reconnect once the issue persist is to open another obs window and click *start streaming* using the same stream key. If I prolonged the 0kbps, my facebook stream automatically ends. My upload speed runs around 9 mbps to 11 mbps. I saw someone posted this issue already and their verdict is - it is because of a windows update.

Actions I did already:
• Updated Windows
• Ran as administrator
• Reset Stream key
• Lowered bitrate from 3500 to 1500
• Changed encoder (NVENC and x264)
• Removed Display Captures and left game captures only

Please note that am I not encountering any CPU and DISK overloads as well. Attached is the log file I used when im streaming. Please help

As you guys see in the logs, my bitrate is just fine then suddenly drops to zero and wont reconnect already. I mean, if its because of my ISP, obs should reconnect me to stream. The only way to reconnect is to open a new window. Please help us.

I'm not only running into this issue, but it's inconsistent as hell. Some days, I stream steam games just fine...

I actually ran into this error and tried to find solutions before posting a thread asking for help. I used speedtest.net to test my internet speed but then decided to watch a youtube video on how to increase internet speed on my laptop. Turns out I was actually giving out 2mbps of upload speed and that is why it was lagging. Fixed it by watching this video: https://youtu.be/MUZ1jpnr71w

And the connection guide still applies.
Politely disagree. It has nothing to do with the internet, it has to do with software, because this error is caused by a crash. That's why when you hit the "stop streaming" button, it just hangs indefinitely. Add to that that the program is impossible to exit after that. If you try, it just minimalizes, and the only way to actually stop it is to kill the process in Task Manager entirely.

It would be much more productive to actually take a look at someone's logs and try to solve the problem, rather than pointing to the same generic network guide that most people have already tried before posting.

This is an old problem with dynamic bitrate that has since been fixed in newer versions of OBS.
