Question / Help OBS stops streaming when I minimize the window

Hey! I have a desktop and a laptop, and I usually stream with my desktop. But I figured it'd be easier to use my laptop, so I tried that. People in my chat would constantly complain that the stream stopped, and I'd check OBS only to find that it had. I tested so many different times, and finally figured out that it wasn't working because I always minimized the window. I went a whole hour-long stream without any problems, as long as I kept the window open, but it's still extremely problematic for me. I've tried everything. Running as an admin, running in different compatibility modes, reinstalling, using 32-bit instead of 64, updating constantly, but nothing's worked, so I finally stopped being stubborn and came here.

Log is here.

set a hotkey that you wont accidentally press in-game. like Ctrl Alt + to start the stream and Ctrl Alt - to stop it. this is so you dont have to worry about alt-tab and it killing your stream. Second, best bet is not resize your window while you are streaming.

lastly,
Code:
Scene buffering time set to 400

Interface: Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter (802.11, 144 mbps)

set scene buffering to 700ms, this is the new standard.

streaming over wireless can cause other issues, this is more of advice not to do it as your connection "seems" to be alright for the time being.

This doesn't solve any of my problems, you just told me to do exactly what I was already doing; working around the issue. But I want a fix, so that my stream doesn't stop every time OBS's window isn't front and center.

I want a fix

Please dont be tempered with me. we are all volunteering to spend time on the forums helping people.

"Second, best bet is not resize your window while you are streaming." I honestly think this is why your window reset. its spitting out all sorts of resizes in your log. you could try window capture. its a little more forgiving with resizing, but I will say, you wont be able to run full screen with window capture. minimizing OBS should work though. it will have a red button when recording and just black when not. keep an eye on it.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude, I'm just frustrated. :(

I haven't resized my window at all, unless you mean minimizing it. I'll try window captrue though, thanks.
