Question / Help OBS stops recording video but audio continues

Hi there,

Im having this issue that when I make long recordings (longer than 20 minutes) where the video will stop but the audio will continue going. It has happened on two separate video's now.

Try to update AMD encoder to most recent one: https://obsproject.com/forum/resour...-framework-encoder-plugin-for-obs-studio.427/ or wait for the next OBS Studio build.

Some people have this issues too (not the same but related thread: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/problem.55268/#post-242751 ), and the latest version of the plugin minimizes this behavior.

Thanks for your reply Suslik V. I'll give that a shot. Do you think there is anyway to salvage the video I already recorded. Those where some good clips.

No. I think, the footage is lost forever. But you may try to remux video (main menu File>Remux Recordings).

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately Remux didn't work. Oh well.
