Question / Help OBS Stops Recording/Cuts Recording Short But Still Streams Fine

I have been streaming on Twitch for the past 2 weeks or so without any issues. Just yesterday I noticed, after about a 4 hour-ish long stream, that, while the stream went out fine, my recording was cut short to 1:38:48. I did another stream last night that lasted almost 6 hours, in a different game, and again while the stream was fine, the recording is showing to be 1:29:24 long. No black screen, no muted audio, no real signs of file corruption... Just the video cutting off as if I had turned it off! Weird.

I have only one hotkey set (HOME) to switch to my main scene. I don't use, but double checked the Output Timer under tools, and it is okay. More than 2TB left on the HDD, so space isn't an issue. I am recording to MKV with 3 audio tracks, and then remuxing afterwards to MP4. The remuxed MP4 files as you can probably assume, are perfectly fine and usable. Just not the whole recording of my stream.

I have recorded and streamed in the past with no issue, many of the recordings being 4 hours+ in length. I included the proper log file for last nights stream. I know there is probably no way of retrieving the lost recordings, as it simply didn't even record it! But I would definitely like to prevent it from happening in the future! If you need any more info from me, let me know. I appreciate any and all help!

I am saving to an external hard drive formatted as NTFS. If it helps, it is a Seagate Backup Plus Desktop using USB 3.0.

Yeah, i'm having the same issues as you too! though it's happening to me with recordings, not livestreams...
it's really pissing me off. i have to stop and start my recording every 30 minutes so i don't have any of these issues,
but sometimes i'll then forget! and it just gets so annoying...

Ok, i might have just figured out an answer to this!

when you click "Stop recording", and it then says "Stopping recording...", do you tend to double click the "Stopping recording..." to make it end faster? if that's a yes.. then don't! because when it says "Stopping recording...". it's actually rendering the video. and if you stop it before it should, you can possibly cut off a good chunk of the video! which is why this is happening.
