Question / Help OBS Stops recording and starts streaming

OBS stop recording and starts streaming for no reason

Check your hotkeys, it can't do that without some form of user interaction.

i dont have any hot keys for it as i record dont really stream

also it only happens when i dont have my other monitor open so what i might just do is make my main monitor cable go into the motherboard people say that helps so im just gonna swap them around also what would be better for the main monitor ? graphics card or motherboard ?

Double check just to be sure, and please provide a log from a session where this occurred if you still can't find the cause.

ok but i do have hotkeys for streaming but i never pressed it it just started streaming halfway through my recording

Like I said, OBS can't just start streaming on it's own. But you can always just enable "Show confirmation dialog when starting streams" in Settings -> General, that way it can't stream without your confirmation.
