When I say it has stopped working I mean it has begun black screening and I can't figure out why. It was recording game play fine to begin with. I'm not aware of having altered anything that would create issues with it. I have tried tinkering with settings that helped after I first installed it, as I had initial black screen issues. If that makes sense. The thing that really helped fix the early black screen issue was altering the graphics processor used for OBS on my Nvidia control panel to the integrated intel processor. I discovered today the setting was automatically reverted back to the Nvidia gpu. Changed it to integrated gpu again but still have obs black screen.
