Question / Help OBS stopped recording my Screen.

Hey, so i used to stream normally and today OBS stopped recording my monitor, i tried everything, disable Aero, added "Monitor Capture" hundred of times but it just wont capture, it only work if i add Window by window..

How can i fix this? Please! Thanks.

Common laptop issue. I need to make some sort of sticky thread about this at some point.

Laptops have multiple graphics adapters, one for power saving (worthless crappy intel integrated) and one for performance (nvidia/amd). Your desktop will be drawn by the intel, and games will be drawn by the nvidia/amd. Either right-click OBS to make it start on the target GPU, or use the amd/nvidia control panel to force it on the desired GPU of the thing you wish to capture.

Alternatively you can use "Compatibility mode" in window and monitor capture to "force" it to download the image off the target graphics adapter so you can render the stream. Typically you never want to run OBS on your intel, so set it to run on the nvidia/amd and use "compatibility mode" for anything that won't capture.

This is a problem you can't avoid if you use a laptop, it's how pretty much all laptops are designed these days.
