I have recently developed an issue where the speeds while streaming to Twitch drop to below 300kpbs, often to 0kbps resulting in OBS disconnecting and my stream basically being unwatchable/unjoinable. I am using OBS and Twitch on the same laptop but the labtop specs are good and had not been an issue since before mid January. Now do I get any warnings other than speed. CPU warnings do not trigger in either OBS or Rekordbox. Below I will detail what I have done and my PC specs.
SYSTEM SPECS
Rekordbox 6.6.1 and 6.5.3
Stream Elements OBS 27.1.3
Internet Connection is 300Mbps down and 20 Mbps Up and I typically get between 60% and 90% of these values.
Lenovo Legion Y530 (Intel i7-8750H CPU @2.20 GHz, 6 Cores and 12 Logical Processors and GB of RAM)
Windows Home 10 (10.0.19044)
TROUBLESHOOTING DONE
Without Rekordbox running my speeds in OBS show 4000 to 10000. Speeds return after a couple of minutes of shutting down Rekordbox
Rekordbox has no issue function while the upload issue is persisting.
Issue is present when on Ethernet and over WiFi
Issue is present whether running Rekordbox without a controller or when I have a DDJ-RR or DDJ-1000 connected
Issue is present whether I am running current version of Recordbox (6.6.1) or reverting to 6.5.3 which worked a number of months ago
Speedtests before I go online with Rekordbox and after I close everything up show Downloads of 270 to 300 Mbps and uploads of 10Mbps to 19Mbps
Running port monitoring I see no ports being used by both applications
Using TManager I limited to Rekordbox to only 1KB/s and issue persisted
Uninstalled OBS completely and reinstalled.
Tried with or without the Streamelements plugin
Uninstalled an reinstalled Rekordbox
Tried setting up a virtual Cable and Virtual Mixer to use as the audio sources in OBS instead of just my desktop audio
I am completely out of ideas. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions beyond a second computer I am all ears. I know I can make this work with another PC but that is a fair bit of money and space I do not want to commit to.
