Bug Report OBS Shows In Processes, But Does Not Appear Anywhere

So recently I tried using OBS again (left it because it was crashing stream constantly) and it seemed to work fine when I first tried running it. I ran it as admin, and it gave the blue circle indicated a load on my cursor. So it did that for a moment, then took about 30 seconds. Finally, it showed up. Well the next time I tried using it. It did the blue cursor load, but never started. It shows in task manager, as a running process. "OBS.exe *32" is running, but never shows up. So I dont know what to do, but I need OBS for streaming upcoming tournaments.

OBS does not show on the toolbar, and their are no logs for the times it does not start.

Unsuccessful Fixes I Have Tried
  • Uninstalling then downloading, reinstalling.
  • Uninstalling then downloading, reinstalling to different drive.
  • Unistalling and deleting profiles/plugins/etc. then reinstalling.
  • Running as administrator.
  • Trying all different compatibility settings
  • Running 64-bit version
  • Running 32-bit version
Successful Fixes
  • After several restarts then starting OBS it worked, but then I exited the software, tried opening back up -- and back to the same old problem. I tried restarting again and loading up and not even that will work now.
Please someone help me fix this. Thanks you for any suggestions or help.

P.S. Their is no log files when the software does not appear, but the log file attached is of the last time I could get it to start.

This is happening to me, too. The first time I start OBS after each reboot, it opens, but after I close it, each subsequent attempt to open it only results in OBS.exe showing up in the processes list and no OBS window opening. I don't see it in the system tray, either. Running Win 8.1 x64 and OBS Classic 0.657. Tried OBS Studio and it worked fine.

If you're able to stop by the live chat I'd like to investigate this, seems to be happening to a lot of people lately.

This seems to be related to multiple programs trying to hook window creation. In particular, ASUS Xonar U7 drivers and Teamviewer are known to conflict. Try removing one of those programs if you encounter this problem.

I fixed this issue by going into task and right-click OBS program and select maximize screen. It should just pop up on one of your 4 screens.
