OBS shows black screen with video capture device.

I am using a Vivitar DVR 757HD camera which can work as a webcam. So far, I have been able to get it to work with Zoom, discord, and an online webcam test; however, even though OBS detects the webcam and shows it as an option for video capture devices, when selected, it shows only a black screen. There haven't been any other places I've been able to test but so far OBS is the only one that won't work. I've been scouring all over the web to try and find solutions but there aren't many helpful sources for my model of camera and nothing so far has worked: the device isn't being shared between different scenes or video capture sources, I've tried changing which USB port the camera is plugged into, I am not using a USB hub, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling OBS, the drivers for the camera are up to date, I've deactivated and reactivated the source multiple times, and I've restarted my computer multiple times. Nothing has worked. If there's anything new to suggest trying I'm all ears. Last bits of relevant information are that I don't have an SD card for the camera and, according to some third party software, the date on the camera's driver is 6/21/2006.

Many of us are having the same problem. OBS recognizing cameras but not transmitting video. I hope they find a fix. Not having any problems with Zoom or other windows applications recognizing and broadcasting the video feeds so... can't help but think it must be a glitch.

Any advice is helpful. If it's likely a bug I can submit a bug report to hopefully draw more attention to it.

Oh gosh, I see I am not alone. I use exactly the same model camera for both my video inputs. I was thinking that OSB is not able to differentiate between them. It will take the feed from the one and fed it to the other 'input device'. I don't see where we might go into the devices to tag them separately. One fix I did find that worked temporarily was that each camera has to have the deactivate when not in use box checked.

Having same issue recording from an old Sony Hi8 Camcorder (Windows 11 / integrated graphics). Tried all solutions posted to no avail. It worked initially after first install then went blank after first video. I reinstalled later and it worked again for one video before problem re-occurred. Here is the relevant log info:
