Hello everyone
Me and my friend is having a really annoying problem with obs, Some time ago I installed obs on his laptop because he wanted to record gameplay from steam games.
It originally worked fine, but then suddenly 1 day he told me it just wouldn't work anymore. Ever since then, I've been trying to resort his problem several times and I just cant get it to work, and I'm growing more and more frustrated every time I have to wrack my brain for another possible solution which just won't work anyway.
Yesterday i spent about 2 hours trying to fix the damn issue (over TV, which didn't make things any smoother), and now I can't take it anymore. I'm desperately in need of help.
Guess I should get to the point. We're trying to use game capture to record fullscreen gameplay from Worms Ultmate Mayhem and 7 Days to Die (both Steam games). Earlier today he tried to record gameplay from a game outside of steam, and told me that worked just fine. When we try to record steam games, the sound is recording just fine, it's just that the screen is all black.
I've already looked at the solution provided in this thread here:

But as far as I can tell this is not his issue, since his NVIDIA control panel doesn't show any drop down menu for selecting either an integrated card or a dedicated one. I am not 100% sure of this, I find it hard to believe his laptop doesn't have an integrated gfx card. Will probably have to check this in Device Managment.
I'll happily provide you with any necessary information you'll need to help solve this, including any log files you think may help. Sorry for the ridiculous long post.

Can't give you the full details atm,, but he is running windows 8.1 and has a NVIDIA GTX 765M
