(Posting several log files so I will be giving dates)
On Februari 28th I used OBS to record a gameplay session. I recorded in flv as usual and everything seemed normal. OBS was showing it was recording and I restarted the recording at 20, 30 and sometimes 40 minutes to not create too big files. It wasn't until later when I remuxed these files and looked at them that I spotted a problem. While OBS said I had been recording for 20 minutes or so, the final videos were only maybe 8-30 seconds long before being abruptly cut. Some stretched for 2 minutes before being cut and one file, 2021-02-28 15-34-05, had the correct length of 1 hour and 18 minutes, but they we're the exception. All others had cut off less than a minute after I've pressed record. The .mp4 files we're also the same size as the .flv files and had also been cut off, so it wasn't a case of the remuxing causing this.
I searched around a bit and found that when stopping a recording you have to give it time to actual stop until you can press "start recording" again, otherwise it will not process correctly. I figured that this could be the issue as I had been very quick on the button. I did some tests on March 1st and this seemed to be the case, as when I recorded for 20 minutes but was quick on the stop/start button the issue occurred, but when I recorded for 20 minutes and gave it plenty of time to actually stop it worked as normal.
So on March 3rd I recorded another gameplay session, this time giving it plenty of time before pressing start again. But despite this the issue occurred again. I tried to record in .mkv, but the result was the same. I then tried to record to .mp4 directly instead. At first this seemed to fix the problem but I soon ran into the issue of having filmed 20 minutes of .mp4 but when I tried to watch it I got the error "This file is not compatible with Quicktime Player", and VLC also failed to play it.
I can't read log files at I so I really hope someone can take a look at them and figure out what the problem is. I have run out of possible solutions, so I'm really grateful for any help.
