OBS showing "Capturing screen" in title bar even though its closed.

I've had this issue for a while now and it requires me to restart my macbook pro every time to force it to quit out of my top bar.
Its really annoying because it says its streaming my screen so netflix, crunchyroll and other streaming services go black screen because of their "anti-piracy" modes. Anyone have this same issue and know a fix????

same here, Sonoma 14.1.2, revoking the screen permission doesn't fix it, looking through activity monitor for obs processes didn't reveal anything. obs is closed. the mac screen sharing pop up that shows when you click on it in the top bar, shows empty windows are being shared, like it's trying to share things that don't exist anymore.
