OBS setup PTZ camera using Visca over IP

Newbie: I am using OBS with a Sony SRG 300h camera currently with HDMI which works. I want to set it up with Visca over IP so I can use the Likely(Github) PTZ controller on the computer. Issue I have is I cannot get the camera to work with visca over IP. I have watched many videos and forums. I used the Sony RM-IP setup tool to set the IP address for the camera in the same subnet as the PC. The camera pins are set to LAN

Issue is that the camera is never detected using Visca over IP

Question 1: How should the camera be plugged in? Should the ethernet cable be plugged into the OBS PC, or into the Network router/switch?
Question 2: When setting up Visca over IP, should it be UDP or TCP and what port number? I have seen a number of different recommendations.
Question 3:Any other advice or recommendations? What am I missing.

I have made numerous attempts on this however the camera is never detected using Visca over IP. I am new to this technology so this is a learning curve.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

I'm a Panasonic NDI PTZ user, and not Sony, so take this for what it is worth
Do I gather correctly that video on that will remain over/via HDMI, and only looking for control via Ethernet?

Q1- As for general networking, you would NOT generally plug Ethernet cable from camera into OBS PC. For simplicity, plug into same VLAN/switch port as OBS PC.
- you need to make sure the camera is getting an IP address. And that the camera is set to request an IP via DHCP, or has the appropriate IP address, subnet mask, etc entered manually onto the camera. How to do that? it depends... camera specific instructions, so my approach would be RTFM ;^). Is the OBS PC getting its IP address via DHCP, or is it a hard-coded IP address? you'll probably want to set the camera in the same manner. There are those who argue against DHCP for a camera IP, but I use DHCP reservations, and find that a best option. but I understand arguments against that.

Q2 - that would be Sony camera specific, so someone else will need to answer that [and no idea about that particular camera, but a vendor could change TCP/UDP and port# defaults via a firmware update. Usually a vendor will use same connection info for many camera models for many years.. but it doesn't have to be that way. And some vendors (I don't know about Sony) allow you to change the defaults. So, your answer may be on the cameras settings menu(s)

Q3 - For the Panasonic, the PTZ control software is free (not an OBS plugin) as is other camera related software. Personally, if the Sony s/w is free, I'd recommend starting with it so you can confirm the camera and network based controls, are working as expected. Then, with camera and network to be in known working state, try alternate software for camera control
