Hello, first of all i want to set up my OBS as good as possible for my pc (sorry for english, might be bad :p)
So i'll post my pc specs & hopefully someone can tell me the best settings for me
Also i need some help with game capture, i've read some topics about it but none helped so i post one myself.
I have an alienware M17x laptop and i've set OBS to nvidia geforce processer and the game (skyrim) aswell but i still have a blackscreen, and when i use monitorcapture it seems like the streaming fps is so low, but i know for sure my laptop can stream it much better because it's like alienware m17x gaming laptop so..

Pc specs:
processer: - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30 GHz 2.30 GHz
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M
RAM: 8,00 GB
Memory: 1 terrabyte
Model: Alienware M17XR4
64 bitssystem

If you need more information just ask me & tell me how to

Thanks in advance!

First, update your copy of OBS as it's quite old.

If that doesn't fix things by itself - I see two adapters listed as the 660M, is this laptop using SLI? If so can you try disabling it to see if that makes a difference? Monitor capture in Windows 7 should really be a last resort as it's the least efficient capture method. Window capture with Aero enabled or game capture are far better.

You should enable CFR under Settings > Advanced and consider downscaling to a lower resolution like 720p. It will look better overall and have fewer compression artifacts when using a max bitrate of 2500 Kbps.

If you're still having trouble after taking these steps, post an updated log file and we'll have another look.

Oh yeah i'm so sorry, i copied the wrong logfile dumb me! I checked for update and there are no available because i copied the wrong logfile.

Can you explain what and how i can see if my pc is using SLI or not? And yes i used monitor capture because game capture give black screen & is not even a good quality screen like you said.
I enabled CFR but where an i downscale to 720p?

The new log file looks much better and you don't appear to be dealing with SLI, so that's good. If you've configured both the game and OBS to run on the NVIDIA hardware via the NVIDIA control panel, make sure that the adapter selected in OBS under Settings > Video is the top one regardless of what the name is. Double-check the instructions at viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5965

Yes i know i copied the wrong file.
Oh yeah i see, if i go to adapter the 2nd one was selected (2 times the same is that right?) So i selected the first one, should it work now?

Just pick whichever adapter is listed first in the dropdown. It should work if everything else is set up correctly, but you should test it to make sure.

- Don't use monitor capture in Windows 7 if you can possibly help it. Use window capture with Aero enabled, or game capture, instead.

- Settings > Encoding - Set your max bitrate back to 2500, enable padding if you disabled it, and don't use a custom buffer size.

- Settings > Video - Set your base resolution to your native resolution of 1600x900 unless you plan to capture a game running at a different res. Downscale to 1280x720 (1.25).

- Settings > Advanced - Change your scene buffering time back to the default of 700. Enable CFR.
