Obs setup and help (constant encoding overload?)

I'm new to obs and capturing in general have always wanted to capture my game play and upload for fun problem is I can't get it to work without getting encoding overload which causes every capture to be janky and jittery. My pc specs should be fine important bits are 3700x and radeon vii( gross I know but got it for 200$ new) and 16gb 3200 ram so that shouldn't be an issue, monitors are1440p but I want to capture in 1080*60.

What iv done so far is play with settings I don't understand so I'm sure that hasn't helped copied guides on youtube which hasn't helped and lowered graphic settings in games and limiting to 60fps which also hasn't helped so I'm stumped

Slight update apperently when I set recording to use streaming presets the encoding overload has gone away but video looks rather blocky and gross, any suggestions to tweak this?

Iv been
first at all. Radeon Encoders are sadly still shitty even on higher bitrate. Understanding your basic settings is elementar. Some are self explaining. Also how your System works. If you like I could show you some stuff with discord live video streaming. Or you simple look at those infos.

Iv been fiddling with it all morning like I said I seem to have solved the high encoder issue some times it comes back but if I exit out and reboot the program it's gone again, now my main issue is quality of the video being blocky or smudgy

I think I found my issue it had something to do with my monitor settings when one or both are set to there native 1440p resolution the encoding overloads but when I set the resolutions to the 1080p on both monitors the encoding overload disappears

If that is so. Well, happy you now! :)
Hm that´s odd. Normaly you should be able to use your base Resolution as income. And also be able to seperate your outcome resolution without any issues it self as long your system can handle it.

Well it seems my issue has now just plain out gone away don't know how and don't know why just know what round about steps I took to do it which make no sense on why it would fix it. So for now I guess it's case closed
