OBS settings to capture old VHS videos in a PAL system

Hi all and thank you for taking the time to help. Recently I've purchased a Elgato HD60S and paired it with an AV to HDMI Upscaler 1080P in order to capture old VHS tapes to digital. I watched some Utbube videos but I only get a black screen and some scratching sounds... I am sure my settings are wrong, perhaps bacause I am in Australia I need Pal system settings. It seem complicate but I am sure it shouldn't, can anybody help if possible??
