Question / Help OBS Settings Suggestions

Hey Guys !

Recently i have started to livestream but i have a problem,it is kinda laggy

I need your help,more exactly to suggest me settings based on my pc and internet connection

Some people keep complaining that the stream isn't loading,it shows that loading buffer in middle of the screen

I will try the estimator,thx ^^

@hilalpro,i will play around with the estimator,then i will post log even if i don't know how to do that xD
 
Okay,thank you vbdkv..that seems to be an interesting app

Now here is my log,i just did a livestream test and the quality is kinda low for a 1080P livestream also i am aware that my viewers will get the buffering thing

I don't know how to post the log so i will just copy everything,i hope its fine

EDIT : I think it should be something from the advanced settings,i think i miss something

Yep that's the right log but you're not using the latest OBS version which always recommended.

Disable the crf custom setting and only use it for local recordings when it's best to disable CBR

You are also streaming 1080p @ 60fps - Flash will not like this. Bump it down to 30 fps or 720p @ 60 fps instead.
 
Okay,thanks for help guys

I downloaded the last version of obs and changed the settings as you said,i will do a test livestream a little bit later and i will come back to tell you the result

Again,thanks a lot for helping me out : )

EDIT:I did a livestream test,i went from bitrate and buffer size 3500 to 4000 because it looks ugly when i am moving,i mean..when i am standing still its okay but when i move around the image turns ugly

I hope people will be able to watch the stream with 4000 bitrate and buffer size,even if there is a warning that i should put them to 3500

If something goes wrong i will come back again :)

Twitch only allows 3500 max for non partners, so I suggest bumping it down to that unless you want your channel banned :) Also some games are much harder to encode than others. Crysis 3 for instance, not a problem at all even at 2500 - Everything looks beautiful. Then take an old game such as Titan Quest which is full of moving grass, and you get a pretty ugly end result even at 3500 compared to Crysis 3 for instance. It all depends on the game really.

Of course changing the preset to something slower might help as well, but it will also increase cpu load. Depending on the game, I jump between veryfast and faster (usually settling for the latter as it seems to produce far less blocks).
 
I am livestreaming most of the time minecraft and dayz,also i am planning to get partenered soon on twitch cause i get like 800-900 viewers/live

But i didn't know you get banned if you put more than 3500

You won't get banned for streaming above 3500, and it's not a partner vs. non-partner thing, either. There's no hard limit on how high you can stream to Twitch. But they strongly recommend against streaming at higher than 3500, and might consider higher bit rates an abuse of their system.

If you don't care about your viewers actually being able to play your livestream, set your bitrate to 3500 and your buffer to something ridiculous, like 4500 or 5000. That'll help in high action scenes while technically your bitrate will be at what Twitch considers to be non-abusive. Just be aware that you'll be abusing your viewers instead. :P

People actually watch others play Minecraft? 800-900? You must be some kind of celebrity outside of gaming. If those numbers start to drop, and they say its because your stream is always buffering or stuttering or unwatchable even though its fine on your end, lower your buffer to be equal to your bitrate again. If this doesn't happen, then be happy, most people can't do this.
