Question / Help OBS Settings not saving

Whenever I setup all my scenes and sources I click save and then once I exit out of OBS NON of my settings save. It reverts back to my really old settings. It's super annoying. Please help.

OBS saves its scenes in %appdata%/OBS/scenes.xconfig. Do you have permission to edit that file?

This is usually a permissions issue, yea. I've heard of this happening only maybe two other times in the lifetime of OBS and I to this day have no idea what caused it for those two people.

For the sake of conclusion: he came to the webchat, and indeed his config file was set to readonly.
