High end pc, but crappy upload rate. Using OBS for LoL. Can anyone recommend settings for streaming at a decent quality while maintaining a low-ish ping.
Playing on the Oceanic servers, I normally get around 90 ping.
My upload rate is 0.80 or so.
i would start with between 300 and 500 bit with a 550 or 600 buffer. 1080p 30 fps. veryfast cpu preset. use cbr quality balance between 8 and 10. AAC audio 128 bit. priority class high. If you drop frames lower your bit and buffer. If you dont try bumping up your bit and buf alittle or audio bit if u care alot about your audio quality. if your frame drops are fine but your getting high ping tick automatic low latency mode or lower your bitrate. if you need more help toss me a message and id be more than happy to come to your stream for live help.
He won't even be able to pull off a clean 480p with that upload. I just got rid of my 10/0.8 DSL connection a few days ago in favor of a 30/2 cable connection because I couldn't produce a watchable stream. The closest I got for streaming league was around 400p and text like summoner names over their champions were unreadable.
OP check out my original thread linked below. Near the bottom are the final settings I landed on which I think were most optimal given my low upload bandwidth. As I noted above stuff like summoner names were very blurry and the overall stream quality wasn't the greatest.
