Question / Help OBS screws up recordings for some weird reason

Hi all. So, I decided to try OBS out and it seems like it has all the functionality of other streaming programs such as XSplit, but for free. And I'd like to continue to use OBS, but whenever I record in OBS, my recording screw up. So, here is a screenshot of what happens after a session of recording:

Also, OBS stops recording randomly. For example, while I was filming all this, I alt-tabbed to check how the recording's doing and saw OBS with the 'broadcast stopped' instead of the preview that appears when recording.

I have googled my problem and I seem to be the only one who's having it. Please help me, I really want to use this program. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, did you setup a hotkey to start and stop streaming?
I think the files that are screwed up are recordings of sometimes less than a second, looking at the log. So that would explain why they include nothing. Also would you do a test, just start recording in OBS, dont even switch into a game, just see if it keeps recording, (get a coffee in the mean time and let it run for a few minutes). Then do another test with league of legends :)

The only "error" I noticed in the log, you are using the faster preset and are sometimes getting late or duplicated frames. For a very smooth recording you might wanna go back to veryfast as your encoding preset.

Wait are your MP4 files getting corrupted? Is that what you mean?
