Computer: MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2011),
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB
Browser: Safari, Version 9.1 (11601.5.17.1)
OBS: 18.0.1 (mac)
Streaming through: Picarto.TV and Twitch.TV
Before Streaming Speeds: approx. 6-8mbps
During Streaming Speeds: approx. 3mbps
My problem: I am trying to use OBS to lifestream my artwork progress through Picarto or Twitch. Neither is working.
What happens: I start streaming and no error message pops up. OBS says I'm streaming and the square at the bottom right is green. CPU: approx. 15% Things seem fine. However, when I go to the sites (this happens when I try to stream on Picarto and Twitch), the channel shows that I'm still offline.
What I've done so far: I have triple checked my server address and keys and made sure they are right. I have refreshed the page and even streamed for 5 straight minutes just to see if the stream would eventually kick on. I have made a new key and input that, with no change. I have restarted my computer and my OBS, to no avail. I have double-checked my settings and, to the best of my knowledge, they are right. Regardless of what I do, the streaming doesn't seem to be working.
What is the problem? I'm not sure if my computer is just too old and not built for streaming, if my internet is too slow, or if I've done something wrong, but I would greatly appreciate any assistance.
