Bug Report obs says files are missing or just wont open

obs just started doing this today its saying obs.exe or some obs dlls are missing i even tried the multi platformed one and still the same this i even restarted my pc tried xsplit that one worked but i not really a big fan of that broadcasting software i bin using obs since i started streaming and now this is cause issues now please help me, if you say try unistalling i did that already i can use obs fine on my laptop its only happening on windows 8.1 pro

Please provide the exact error message you're receiving. We can't help if we don't know what's going wrong.

hi the exact error message im getting is obs.exe is not located on your computer the sortcut will be deleted sometimes i can get it to work from the folder it self but it wont work most of the time and for the dll one it says libx264-142.dll is not found or has bin removed, if i reinstall it it works fine up untill i close it not sure if its an issue with the windows build i have since its not fully up to date but it still shouldnt matter.

This is usually caused by security software detecting OBS files as malicious when they're not and then quarantining or deleting them. Whitelist your OBS installation directory or temporarily disable your antivirus program, reinstall and try again.

ah ok thanks for the help i will do that as soon i can get the pc i use obs on up and running
