OBS saves lag when my fps is higher than my hertz

Whenever i put my fps over 360 (my monitor's hz) the videos lag. Also, it says it IS recording at 361 fps (if i set it to that), but the save is at literally 10 fps, and it takes longer to save. And YES, I have set it to run as administrator. If i set my fps to 360 or lower, the recordings are completely fine. Please help.

It doesn't work for you, because the encoder isn't able to keep up with frame rates that high. Recording standard these days is 60 fps. You can keep your monitor refresh rate arbitrarily high, but set the fps within OBS to 60 fps.

It also makes no sense to record with a higher fps than the system is even able to generate.
It's the same as if you're constantly refresh a website every few minutes, although you know it is changed only once a day: pointless.
