Hello, i have a veeeery strange problem.

Doesent matter what quality, what bitrate i choose, just immediately when i start Streaming my internet gets destroyed, big packet loss, frame drops ( not HW lags just frame drops in OBS ) and internet is very very slowed + big ping anywhere ( TS, game, everything. ) I have 8mb/s Down and 3 mb/s UP ( 2.5mb/s up via http://testmy.net/ Amsterdam server , im from czech rep ).

Log is here

cca 2 months ago on my old CPU ( Core2Duo 3Ghz ) i was able to nicely run 2600 bitrate 720p stream for hours without any frame dropped whatsoever ( rFactor ). I tried same settings as before, same OBS version. I Tried everything that i think could help. Nothing helped. Thanks for reply

5.2% is notable but not extreme. Still, at 1250 Kbps (also in your log), that was 0%. That would suggest that bitrate ran just fine. To which server are you streaming?

Thanks for reply, i will try to stream now for longer time cuz these 5.2% is not much accurace, i reset all my settings , deleted logs and everything, will post another log in couple of hours. Im streaming to Frankfurt, but did tried Amsterdam and it was the same.

Frankfurt really is a troubled server; avoid it at all costs. Amsterdam is better, although obviously slightly farther away for you. But, still... it is the better option.

Ok, so i tried 1250kbs, only 540p, Amsterdam server, i also did ur OBS Startup Guide and this is result.

http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/2452/apm.png - this is a image of what im experience when streaming. This ping, whole time of streaming, not just spikes.

Its ok if SOME of frames are dropped but this is unstreamable and unplayable. In game like 200+ ping and huge lag spikes bout 1000 ms.

I don't know what else to say; a lot of work has gone into actually improving OBS' network behaviour, not making it worse. Quite frankly, I suspect it is either your connection and/or a temporary routing issue that is preventing you from streaming effectively.

However, one last thing you could try is to simply migrate back to an older version of OBS. A version of which you were 100% positive the stream worked fine. If it then still does not work as expected or desired, it most decidedly isn't OBS that is causing this.

Try bypassing your router, some routers choke pretty hard with RTMP for some reason.

Did you try just plugging directly into your modem like R1CH suggested? (removing router from the equation)

A good thing would be to check your processes for PMB.exe and netsession_win.exe.

Those are p2p services installed by some game installations, like NCSofts Lineage 2 or Aion or stuff like that. They tend to start up in the background and hog your upload.

I pretty much noticed this while playing GGPO. My emulator would go crazy at times, so i installed NetLimiter (awesome app if i might add :)) and saw PMB.exe (Pando Media Booster) hogging up my entire upload.

Its a system they use to enable faster download of the game client. Pretty much works like torrent network, where every PC that has a copy of the game downloaded becomes a seeder for the next downloader. Quite annoying, can be shut down from control panel since it installs an applet in there, but if u're not aware of it, it can really harass your upload a lot.

Hi, thanks for suggestions. First things first, i dont have modem or router, only PoE and Switch for my second PC, its not the problem. I did some cleaning in my PC, tested upload today many times, same result, my upload running 100% 3mb

2XaYdFw.png
- 33MB File upload test, stable as never before.

Tried NetLimiter, everything is fine.

Know the app PMB ( pando media booster , comes with LoL instalation , i always delete it ).

NetSession is not there too.

Everything is running great until i start streaming, even then first couple minutes is ok, then my ping goes UP, packet loss too, and everything is ruined for like 5 minutes even when i shut down the OBS, it still need some time to recover. Even tested play game while testmy.net upload test. Ping wen up just only for 5+ ( 25ping normal , with test running 29-30 ).

I still think it might be something in processes but i dont see anything really. NetLimiter is not showing anything expect of OBS, Youtube ( chrome ) etc, just usual things.

I even tried to limit the OBS upload in NetLimiter to only 100kb/s but its still ruining whole internet. :(

Im desperate. Streaming is not causing me HW or any type of error, crash, FPS lag, anything, only ruining my whole internet connection.

These are my all tests today -

Also tried different versions of OBS, different system compatibilities, different CPU priority.

Code:
DiffProbe release. January 2012. Build 1008.
Shaper Detection Module.

Connected to server 64.9.225.142.

Estimating capacity:
Upstream: 3071 Kbps.
Downstream: 8253 Kbps.

The measurement will take upto 2.5 minutes. Please wait.

Checking for traffic shapers:

Upstream: No shaper detected.
Median received rate: 3024 Kbps.

Downstream: No shaper detected.
Median received rate: 8064 Kbps.

What does it mean ?

In the sense as that your connection should be fine, yes. However, it does leave us without an answer still. In fact, I am completely clueless as how to proceed now. Assuming you have tried simply hooking up your PC directly to your modem, without the router.

Thing is, you named one change in your opening post -- the CPU. Now, there is no conceivable way a more modern CPU would have any negative effect on your Internet connection and/or your ability to stream. So, essentially, we have ruled out all possible causes and the problem persists.

Which OS are you on? And are you running an Administrator account?

One final attempt then; I do not think this will work but there is no harm in trying and at least we'll be able to say we've covered all the bases.

Start -> Run ->
Code:
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled chimney=enabled netdma=enabled dca=enabled autotuninglevel=normal congestionprovider=ctcp ecncapability=disabled timestamps=disabled
Just copy/paste it; it's 1-line. These are my global TCP settings for Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit and they are tuned for low latency and a steady throughput. I know for a fact my connection has no issues whatsoever streaming at any bitrate to any server in the world (currently I'm experimenting with the global load balancing server instead of specifically picking Amsterdam).

The settings are mostly default, with some minor tweaks here and there. However, I cannot rule out the possibility that for some reason or another something in your Windows is preventing you from streaming. It can't be OBS (you've tried multiple versions, resets, etc.), it's not your ISP (Shaper Probe ruled that out), it's not Twitch (different servers basically ruled that out). It has to be your configuration/installation/hardware.

You may need a reboot after applying those settings, by the way.
